CBIE: Canada's International Education Conference

EAIE Annual Conference

The EAIE's annual conference is one of the major events in European higher education. It provides participants with an excellent opportunity to debate policies and issues in international higher education, share essential information, contact colleagues, and advance in their professional development.
We hope you can join us for our session ‘Global perspectives of challenges to the international student recruitment and enrolment experience’, at 8:30am on Thursday 1st September. The session will be chaired by Nannette Ripmeester, our senior European consultant, and Will Archer, i-graduate’s CEO, will be presenting with Jessica Winters, Rijksuniversiteit Groningen, Netherlands. Presenters will provide insight into the international student decision-making, application and enrolment experience in different target markets and examine how outside factors, such as visa regulations, competition over market share and financial fluctuations, are impacting upon their student recruitment and enrolment internationally.
The session will be followed by ‘Tracking and comparing the transnational education student experience across delivery mechanisms’ at 10:00am. The session, chaired by Robert Coelen for Stenden University, and presented by Nannette Ripmeester and Will Archer, identifies the student experience across cross-border distance and online education, partner-supported programmes and international branch campuses.

Students Abroad conference - Neil Stewart Associates

i-graduate is proud to sponsor the inaugural ‘UK students abroad’ conference, which will address will address strategic choices for international partnerships and student exchange programmes as well as support for UK degree students studying abroad.
At the Going Global 2011 Conference in Hong Kong, Universities and Science Minister David Willetts MP admitted that he is embarrassed by the low rates of British students studying abroad.

This year Going Global is taking place in Hong Kong for the first time. The conference themes include: Investing for return: returning the investment, Regional education hubs: global aspirations, New purposes: new partnerships?, and Universities and colleges: challenge and change.
Will Archer, i-graduate Chief Executive, will be presenting a session on 'Exploring global graduate employability: preparing students for the challenges of the world of work'. This session will draw upon the latest research findings from three research studies to discuss how universities can and are taking action to prepare graduates for the challenges of the world of employment.

Annual Dearing Higher Education conference ‘The Globalisation of Higher Education’

HEPI conference: Students and fees – implications of the Browne recommendations

i-graduate will be attending this conference, looking at the issues around student financing. The Independent Review of Higher Education Funding and Student Finance, chaired by Lord Browne, has made its recommendations to the government on the future of fees policy and financial support for full and part time undergraduate students, and the government has produced its reply – in effect accepting the essential aspects of the Browne proposals. How effective will these recommendations be in terms of helping to establish a sustainable funding model for universities and in ensuring an equitable balance between public funding and private benefit?

3rd Annual Conference: Improving International Student Experience

HEPI conference: Higher education in the age of austerity
