The Language Barometer is an independent and confidential feedback process for education providers, tracking the decision-making, perception, expectations and experiences of language students worldwide.
What is the Language Barometer?
The study is designed for language providers committed to improving the student experience and the consistency and quality of language provision across the sector.
The benchmarking tool is used by over 165 language schools across the UK, Australia, New Zealand, America and Canada providing a global benchmark of the international student experience.
How can the Language Barometer directly benefit an institution?
The study provides students with an independent mechanism for sharing their thoughts, expectations and subsequent satisfaction levels on their student experience both within and outside of the classroom. This will enable you to:

What you can expect to receive?
We’ve made the process as simple as possible for participating language providers. You will approve a covering email with a unique hyperlink, secure a list of current language students, book three email alerts... and leave the rest to us.
The questionnaire is designed by i-graduate in partnership with language schools and is constructed and hosted online using specialist survey software. All responses are captured and data processed by i-graduate’s team of experienced analysts, before being reported back to providers. All data is reported anonymously and confirms fully with relevant data protection legislation. We also provide advice on maximising response rates.
The questionnaire is fully translated into 10 languages in addition to English, so that students can opt to respond to the survey questions in their mother tongue.
A key strength of the Language Barometer is the ability for the instrument to provide national and global benchmarking. Institutions will receive in-depth reporting and benchmarking to help providers evaluate and compare the performance of their institution both nationally and internationally.
