International Student Barometer and Student Barometer
What are the International Student Barometer (ISB) and Student Barometer (SB)?
• The ISB and SB are independent and confidential feedback processes for education providers, tracking the decision-making, perceptions, expectations and experiences of international and domestic students.
• The Barometer survey instruments are risk management tools, enabling institutions to identify the key drivers of student satisfaction and establish the relative importance of each.
• The study is a comparative measure, tracking year on year how expectations and perceptions change - within your institution and against national and global benchmarks.
The ISB is now the largest study of international students in the world with feedback from over 150,000 students each year.
Many of our partners have adopted the Student Barometer (SB), a parallel study designed specifically for domestic students.
The ISB and SB have been adopted by over 270 higher education institutions in the UK, Republic of Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, USA, South Africa, Singapore, Spain, Germany, Belgium, Estonia, Denmark, Sweden, Italy, Luxembourg and the Netherlands.

Testimonials
i-graduate and the International Student Barometer have received much positive feedback throughout the education sector. Read what just two of our partners have to say about the process:
"The results have helped us to understand the needs of our students better, tailor what we deliver to meet those needs and evaluate any changes we've made to check if we've got it right. The level of service we receive from i-graduate to support the delivery and analysis of the surveys has been outstanding. Thanks to this, the Student Barometer is now one of the key benchmarking tools we use at the University and is firmly established as one of only a small number of University-endorsed surveys that we carry out each year."
- Stephen Williams, Assistant Director, International Office, University of Warwick
" What i-graduate and the International Student Barometer have helped us to understand in greater detail is where we are meeting and failing the expectations of particular student groups on specific matters. The University is now better placed to improve service levels because of the data received. i-graduate is an extremely professional and supportive organisation and I would recommend their services to any institution that genuinely wants to understand the needs and demands of their customers"
- James Richardson, Director, International Office, University of Hull
